I have had the pleasure of knowing Jenn Corbett and her family for over 15 years. They are a faith-based family who consistently lead with their hearts in every way imaginable. This characteristic is not a trait exclusive to Jenn, it is exemplified in her husband, Doug, and their children as well.
If I had to pick just one characteristic that I admired most about Jenn, it would be impossible. Actually, there would be a tie between her ethics and giving spirt. While most might think that these two traits are one in the same, they are not. Jenn’s ethics compliment her giving spirit and vice versa. We all know people who portray one or both of these characteristics, but it is rare to find one who practices both of them more fervently than Jenn. Warrior For Children would not exist had Jenn not been blessed with the ability to use her God-given gifts to the extreme measure that she does.
In short, the world is a better place with Jenn Corbett in it.

I first learned of Warrior for Children and Jenn when Jenn spoke on a panel discussion at the 2019 Women’s Leadership Conference. I was serving as the ASIST (Adult Students in Scholastic Transition) Chair for the Pomona Valley Chapter of Executive Women International. We provide annual scholarships to non-traditional students.
After the awards presentation and hearing their heart-touching stories, Jenn immediately approached the women whose children had experienced trauma, offering her support and services. I was so impressed with her compassion and knowledge that I knew she would be a great resource. I had been looking for someone to educate our childcare staff on how to work with children with behavior issues. We connected, Jenn came out and did a fantastic job educating our associates. It was very well received and appreciated by all.
Recently, I asked Jenn if she would serve as a Judge for the 2020 ASIST Scholarship Program. Again, Jenn came through, spending countless hours reviewing applications, etc., even with all the craziness of the coronavirus going on. I could not thank Jenn enough for all that she has done personally for me, but also for the work that she does for the children and the families in our community.

I have worked with Jenn on a transdisciplinary medical and developmental team for over two years. She serves as the Public Health Nurse for the team. She has many roles including educator, evaluator, advocate and nurse. Jenn is an inspiration to work with; she truly is a warrior for children. She approaches each client with compassion, every roadblock with tenacity, and each case with vast knowledge and experience in the world of childhood trauma. Her goal is for every child to receive the medical and developmental services that they need, and she perseveres until this goal is met. The world of childhood trauma is ridden with darkness and sorrow, one that a person could easily sink under the weight of. But Jenn carries this burden willingly and fiercely, knowing that is what is needed of her in order to create change in the lives of her clients. I am blessed to have known and worked with Jenn, and look forward to many more years of learning from her as a fellow professional!
